Paperman Paper-Doll 1st-Person Shooter Game Gets Anime
posted on by Egan Loo
The Japanese game developer Gamepot announced on Wednesday that an anime adaptation of its Paperman first-person shooter game is already in production. Even though the Microsoft Windows game is set in a 3D environment, it features player characters made of "paper" that can be customized like paper dolls.
Gamepot made the anime announcement during the free "Paperman GW Event" in Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district. Gamepot also presented the storyboards from the anime at the event, and the staff is aiming to release the anime in the summer timeframe. The anime is being conceived as short movies for the web and similar venues; nevertheless, it will not just feature combat scenes, but also what the characters do on the way to the battlefield.
