Studio AIC Producing New Original Anime Shorts
posted on by Egan Loo
Volume 18 of Yosensha's Otona Anime magazine revealed on Saturday that the studio Anime International Company (AIC) is currently producing new original anime shorts. According to a sidenote (page 89) for an interview with AIC President Tōru Miura, the anime studio plans to announce a number of these shorts within the year, with the first being a robot work. The announcements will be posted on AIC's official website.
The current volume of Otona Anime has an 80-page article and cover illustration devoted to the Strike Witches 2 television anime series and AIC. (AIC animated Strike Witches 2 earlier this year.) AIC's robot anime works in the past included Hades Project Zeorymer, Dangaioh, Godannar, GUNxSWORD, and Great Dangaioh. The pachisuro (pachinko-parlor slot machine) maker Oizumi announced last month that it acquired AIC as a wholly owned subsidiary.
