Japan's Animation DVD Ranking, May 17-23

The collector's pack for the live-action special-effects film Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider W & Decade Movie Taisen 2010 debuted at #2 with 14,005 copies sold, and the regular edition of the film was #3 with 10,543 copies. This is the first time in 11 years that a Japanese live-action special-effects (tokusatsu) DVD has debuted at #2 on Oricon's overall weekly DVD chart; the last DVD to accomplish this feat was volume 4 of the Ultra Seven television series in 1999. The collector's pack also debuted at the highest ranking that any Kamen Rider DVD has attained so far, since the previous record-holder was 2005's Kamen Rider Blade the Movie: Missing Ace at #3.
The fourth volume of the live-action special-effects television series Kamen Rider W landed at #9 with 5,173 copies sold. The 11th volume of the live-action special-effects television series Samurai Sentai Shinkenger also debuted at #14 with 3,513 copies sold. The DVD Box for the second live-action Liar Game television season was #16 with 3,398 copies sold.
