Japanese Animation Blu-ray Disc Ranking, October 26-November 1

According to the Oricon survey firm and animeanime.jp website, the second Blu-ray Disc (BD) volume of Bakemonogatari has the highest sales for any television anime BD release. The limited pressing of Bakemonogatari Vol. 2 Mayoi Mai-Mai sold 39,000 copies in its first week. The previous television anime BD record-holder, the first K-ON! volume, sold 33,000 copies in its first week. The second Bakemonogatari volume is the second volume in a row to debut at #1 on Oricon's weekly chart. It also has the second highest first-week sales of any BD release. (The Evangelion: 1.11 BD release sold 49,000 copies in its first week.)
