Nodame Cantabile's Life-Action Film Trailers Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the two live-action Nodame Cantabile Saishū Gakushō (Nodame Cantabile: The Final Movement) movies based on Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile romantic comedy manga is streaming a 70-second trailer. The website is also streaming the 34-second teaser trailer. (In the linked page, select the righthand "特報" button.) The original manga, the live-action version, and a separate anime version all center around two music students (Hiroshi Tamaki, Juri Ueno) who find themselves on parallel paths in Japan and later Europe.
The first film will open December 19, and the second film will open next spring — the same time that the manga (and the final anime series) will end, according to the Asahi Shimbun paper. The website had announced in July that orchestra concerts will be held on October 31 and November 1 at the Tokyo International Forum to commemorate the opening of the first film. A portion of the first film will be screened at the concerts before the film's completion.
