Crunchyroll Simulcasts 2nd Hayate the Combat Butler Season
posted on by Egan Loo
The Crunchyroll media-distribution website has announced that it has begun streaming the second anime season of Hayate the Combat Butler within an hour of its Japanese airing today. The story follows a boy named Hayate who serves as a butler, bodyguard, confidante, and more to a girl named Nagi to pay off a 156,804,000-yen (about US$1.4-million) debt. The North American anime distributor Bandai Entertainment announced at last July's Anime Expo convention that it acquired Synergy SP's first 52-episode anime season. Both seasons adapt Kenjirō Hata's Hayate the Combat Butler comedy manga; Viz Media will release the 11th volume of the ongoing manga this May.
Crunchyroll also announced more live-action Korean drama titles from South Korea's Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation. The titles now include:
- General Hospital 2
- I Really Really Like You
- Jumong
- La Dolce Vita
- Que Sera Sera
- Spotlight
- Who Are You
