Project MP, Shōchikubai Novels to Get 2009 TV Anime

The Japanese publisher Shueisha has reportedly sent out a retailer order form for its new Super Dash Bunko light novels in October, and the form says that Aoi Bandana's Project MP and Tatakae! Shōchikubai Kōtō Gakkō Manga Kenkyū-bu (Fight! Shōchikubai High School Manga Club) light novels will be adapted into manga this fall and into television anime next year. According to the order form, the manga versions will be published in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine.
The Project MP gag comedy centers around a high school boy who is friends with a number of girls, but he is otherwise ordinary. One day, he discovers that his teacher has formed a sentai (combat unit) with the girls in his school — and that he is one of their targets in their battle against evil. The first novel was published in February, and the artist Yoshi*o drew the illustrations.
The Tatakae! Shōchikubai Kōtō Gakkō Manga Kenkyū-bu action comedy revolves around a high school manga club that has been recruited to fight aliens invaders. An ordinary girl gets caught up in the battle because her childhood friend and current crush happens to be the club's "Otaking." Shūtaro Yamada (R.O.D, Betterman, Passacaglia [Op.7] manga artist) drew the illustrations in the light novel that Shueisha published in 2006.
