Akiba-chan CG/Action Figure Anime's Promo Video Streamed (Updated)

"Figu-mation" series to start run on Japan's Kids Station channel on July 24
The official Japanese website of the Akiba-chan computer graphics and stop-motion television series has posted a promotional video. The "figu-mation" series recounts the daily life of Akiba-chan and four fellow television and game fans in the Maison de Akiba apartments at Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district. Buildup Entertainment (Gundam: Mission to the Rise, Macross Plus) produced the computer animation with director Junya Kabe (Specter, D) and character designer Poyoyon Rock (Nurse Witch Komugi, Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko). The series will premiere on Japan's KIDS STATION channel on July 24.

Update: Jordan Scott points out that the action figure animation in this series is not necessarily done via stop-motion.
