Hana-Kimi One-Shot Manga to Appear in HanaYume in July
posted on by Egan Loo
Manga creator Hisaya Nakajo will release Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e Tokubetsu-Hen, a special-edition one-shot episode based on her popular Hana-Kimi manga, in this year's 15th issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine on July 5. The original romantic comedy story follows a Japanese-American girl masquerading as a student at a Japanese all-boys high school. The publisher Hakusensha has revealed little about this new side story, except to hint that it will have a meeting between the romantic rivals Izumi Sano and Shūichi Nakatsu.
Viz Media finished publishing the 23 volumes of the original run in April, and plans to start the Sugar Princess manga this August. The 2005-2006 Sugar Princess ice-skating story is the only new series Nakajo has worked on since Hana-Kimi's original run ended in 2004.
