Global Ticket Sales for X Japan Reunion's Third Night
posted on by Egan Loo
On Tuesday, the X Japan rock group added a third night to its concert reunion after 200,000 applications were submitted for ticket pre-sales. The "X Japan to Resume Its Attack 2008 I.V. ~Towards Destruction" concerts were originally planned for March 28 and 30 at the Tokyo Dome, which only accommodates around 46,000 concert-goers a night. Instead of keeping March 29 open to allow drummer YOSHIKI to rest between concerts, the band decided to hold a third concert that night. The band already nicknamed the March 28 and 30 concerts the "Night of Destruction" and "Night of Creation," respectively, so the band nicknamed the March 29 concert the "Night of Reckless."
Einsof Marketing Group will be selling an allotment of tickets for the March 29 concert to international fans this weekend. Einsof will post more information on its website. The Jrock Revolution and JaME websites are already holding a lottery for tickets for the March 28 concert.
X Japan performed on the soundtracks for the X² Double X music video collection and the X movie before splitting up in 1997. The animation studio Madhouse and director Rintarō adapted both projects from Clamp's X manga.
