New Ghibli films to premier in July

"Ghiblies Episode 2" to premier as a short movie along side "The Cat's Return" on July 12th.

At a press conference for Studio Ghibli's latest short film Ghiblies episode 2, held in Tokyo on the 25th of June, Toshio Suzuki, producer of Ghiblies, stated, "I'm pleased that Giblies seems to attract a good deal of public attention as the last film, Spirited Away." Ghiblies is a humorous story that describes everyday minor happenings. It is directed by Yoshiyuki Momose, and is scheduled to open with the feature The Cat's Return , directed by Hiroyuki Morita, on July 13th in Japan.
Spirited Away will be released on the 28th in South Korea. Studio Ghibli's films are very popular in Asian countries. The Cat's Return and Ghiblies are already showing in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Tomohiko NISHIMURA, and Tomoe SHINOZUKA, who joined the project as actors, appeared at the press conference. Nishimura said "I'm happy that I was involved with a movie that is to be shown overseas." Nishimura was also involved in Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke.
