Anime Release
ADV FILMS has set the street date of May 14, 2002 for Devil Hunter Yohko Collection 1, the first of two volumes collecting the popular horror/action anime title that gave birth to North America's leading distributor of Japanese animation. Devil Hunter Yohko was the first title released by ADV after its formation in 1992, and in celebration of its tenth anniversary, ADV is premiering this historic title on DVD.
Yohko Mano just turned sixteen, and the boy she's crazy about doesn't know she exists. Now, her loony grandmother has dropped a new bombshell. Yohko is the 107th generation of a family of professional devil hunters - and she's stuck with the job whether she likes it or not! Now, all of Japan's devils, demons, and blood-letting creatures of the night have decided to eliminate Miss Mano before she learns how to use her new powers! It's going to be a very un-sweet sixteen as Yohko's birthday turns into a demonic bloodbath and a grueling trial by hellfire!
ADV's release of Devil Hunter Yohko Collection 1 ($29.98 SRP) is a two-disk collection featuring the first three episodes of the popular anime series in the English-language, as well as the Japanese language version with English subtitles. DVD extras include an ADV Historical Commentary, a Retrospective of Yohko artwork, and ADV previews.
