On August 31st Cartoon Network will interupt its regular Midnight Run schedule to air a Toonami Midnight Run Special Edition featuring animated music videos from Daft Punk, the Gorillaz and Toonami: Deep Space Bass.
Of biggest interest to Anime fans will be world premiere of Daft Punk animated video, "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is the fourth single from Daft Punk's Discovery album. All the music videos from Discovery feature are produced by Anime legend Leiji Matsumoto (My Youth in Arcadia, Galaxy Express 999) and, when put together, form a musical feature length movie.
Daft Punk's first three videos from Discovery, One More Time, Aerodynamic, and Digital Love, will also air during the "Special Edition" broadcast.
Also broadcast will be four Toonami videos, including "Dreams" a music video made up mostly of Outlaw Star Clips.
The hour-long special, hosted by TOM, the 3-D computer generated host of the Toonami programming block, will begin at midnight (ET, PT).
Thanks to Sam of Saiyanz Rage for the correction.
