Chinese Ghost Story anime to debut this weekend

Tsui Hark's animated project, "A Chinese Ghost Story", will see its North American debut this weekend at San Francisco's 4 Star Theater on March 19. The film will be shown in its original Cantonese with English subtitles. This will be Viz Communication's first theatrical release.
Originally several live-action Hong Kong films, Chinese Ghost Story, about a bumbling scholar/tax collector that falls in love with a beautiful ghost, was directed by Mr. Hark, whose American film credits include Double Team (starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dennis Rodman) as well as Knock Off, which also stars Van Damme. The film was co-produced and animation directed by Japanese talents.
