Viz announces 5/99 release highlights

In their monthly press release, Viz announced several new video and graphic novel releases that will be made available in May of 1999.
The biggest item announced by FAR would be the Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle Boxed Set. The box contains all twelve volumes of the second season of Ranma 1/2: Nettohen in dubbed form, with a final running time of around 600 minutes. The box will also include a bonus opening and ending theme CD and will retail for $199.95.
Kia Asamiya's highly acclaimed manga series Silent Möbius continues in graphic novel form in volume 3 of the regular manga series (248 pages for $16.95), and Into the Labyrinth, a new monthly 6-part manga series.
Continuing one of the most popular manga series in the adult manga magazine Pulp, Viz releases the second volume of Akimi Yoshida's Banana Fish graphic novel, which covers the material found in vol. 2 no. 7 to vol. 3 no. 2 of Pulp. Banana Fish vol. 2 clocks in at 192 pages for $15.95 US.
Rumiko Takahashi's latest manga series Inu Yasha also continues in graphic novel form in May with the release of the third volume of Inu Yasha, which is 184 pages at $15.95 US. Meanwhile, the Maison Ikkoku TV series continues with the dubbed release of "Piyo Piyo Diaries" ($24.95), as does the subtitled edition of Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle with "Mirror, Mirror" ($29.95).
