Manga Action Magazine Marks 50th Anniversary With Bookstore Campaign

Futabasha's Manga Action magazine is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an event at a Yurindo bookstore in Yokohama, Kanagawa. The Yurindo Yokohama Eki Nishiguchi Comic Ōkoku shop will hold the "Manga Action Fes ~50-nen no Rekishi~" (Manga Action Fest: 50-Year History) event from September 14 to October 15.
The display will feature reproduced illustrations for works that the magazine serializes. In addition, extra-large posters will offer a look back at the magazine's 50-year history. Actual copies of the magazine's issues from the 1970s as well as other important items related to the magazine will be on display.
People who buy designated items will be able to enter a raffle for a chance to win a signed fancy paper board from one of the magazine's popular creators. A similar present campaign is also offering chances to win canvas boards featuring art from one of the magazine's manga series. Manga creators Chikyū no Osakana Pon-chan and Mayu Minase will have signing events during the promotion.
