The official website for the upcoming fourth PriPara film, Gekijōban PriPara: Mi~nna de Kagayake! Kirarin☆Star Live (PriPara The Movie: Everyone Shine! Kirarin Star Live), began streaming a dance video on Wednesday. Wa-Suta, the group performing the film's theme song "Just be yourself," star in the video to teach the choreography for a different song that will play during the film: "Pripara ☆ Raran."
The film will premiere in Japan on March 4, 2017.
The film's website states that this time the anime will take place not in space (uchū), but in "Puchū," and will feature the first "Puchū tour" in PriPara history. The PriPara idols will tour the solar system and will discover new wonders. Various trials await the idols, and things aren't straight forward. Will the idols be able to make it back to Earth safely? The fictional idol groups that will appear in the film include SoLaMi SMILE, DressingPafé, TRiANGLE, Gaarmageddon, and Tricolore.
The first anime series inspired by SynSophia's PriPara arcade game for girls premiered in July 2014. The franchise's first film, Gekijō-ban PriPara Mi~nna Atsumare! Prism Tours, premiered in March 2015, and the second TV anime season premiered in April 2015. The second anime film, Tobidasu PriPara ~Miina de Mezase! Idol Grand Prix (Spring Out PriPara ~Aim for the Top, Eeeeveryone! Idol Grand Prix), premiered in Japan in October 2015. The anime's third film, PriPara Mi~nna no Akogare Let's Go PriPari (PriPara Eeeeveryone's Longing Let's Go PriPari), premiered on March 12, and the third television anime season followed in April. A fourth television anime will premiere this April.
The story of the television anime revolves around Laala, an elementary school girl who wants to become an idol in PriPara, a sport that judges girls on their song, dance, and fashion. The invitation to the sport is through a PriPara ticket. Even though elementary school students at her school are not allowed to become PriPara idols, through many events, she passes the audition, and becomes an idol.
