Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Inspires PS4 Model in Japan

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia and Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue game will also get its own PlayStation 4 console variant in Japan. The “Kingdom Hearts 15th Anniversary Edition” PlayStation 4 model comes with a Jet Black body and an original Kingdom Hearts design top cover with the 15th anniversary logo. It also comes with a custom theme and matching packaging.
The console costs 33,980 yen (US$295.50) for the 500GB version and 33,980 yen (US$339) for the 1TB version. Both will ship in mid-March. Pre-orders are being accepted until December 22.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue game will include:
- Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD, an HD remaster of the 2012 Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Nintendo 3DS game
- Kingdom Hearts X: Back Cover, a brand-new HD theater video recounting "the series' oldest short story"
- Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage-, with a brand-new short episode tied to the 2011 Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix PSP game
The game will ship on January 12 in Japan and on January 24 in North America and Europe.
