Salaryman Pikachu Plush Gets Demoted for Western Release

The monthly Pikachu plushes are heading West, but not before the iconic monster gets a demotion.
The "Fresher Pikachu" that debuted the series in April shows Pikachu sporting a traditional businessman suit with glasses and a briefcase to complete the can-do salaryman aesthetic. The word "fresher," in Japanese business lingo, refers to a new hire. The plush is now crossing over to U.S. Pokémon Centers but is redubbed as an intern. According to the item description, he's heading to work in place of his lazy Trainer. He'll probably have to make all the office coffee runs, too!
The U.S. edition costs US$17.99. Previous releases include Pikachu in a raincoat, Children's Day Pikachu, baker Pikachu, festival attire Pikachu, and sailor Pikachu. Next month's release is artist Pikachu.
