Images of Sailor Moon Crystal Japanese BD Extras Revealed
posted on by Bamboo Dong
A sneak peek at the first Sailor Moon Crystal Japanese Limited Edition BD has been revealed, which is good timing for all the fans who have been on the fence about importing it.
Each volume will come with a special charm, with the first volume also containing a charm bracelet. It will also contain a special booklet, special packaging, storyboards, and a music box that plays "Moon Pride," the opening theme song by Momoiro Clover Z.
Perhaps the most notable is the reveal of the special box, which unfortunately will only be available to Japanese residents with mail-in vouchers included in each limited edition BD. If deep-pocketed fans can get a hold of one, though, it's certainly a conversation piece. The box not only stores all of the discs, but it also functions as a trinket box.
Of course, collecting all of the limited edition BDs won't be cheap—each volume retails for 6,500 yen (about US$62), with the first volume costing 7,500 yen (about US$71.50). Each one only includes two episodes, which means collecting the whole series will run over $800, not including the overseas shipping. Those who would rather just import the regular edition BD or DVDs will have an easier time—each BD retails for 4,500 yen (about US$42.90), and each DVD retails for 3,500 yen (about US$33.38).
For those who live in Japan, different retailers are offering different bonuses, including bromide cards, clear posters, clear files, post cards, straps, tapestries, and more.
The first volume is scheduled to be released on October 15, with subsequent volumes released every month after that.
