Receive Your Valentine's Day Chocolates From These Anime Series

There's no lack of Valentine's Day specials this year. On February 14, Akihabara and several other locations were overflowing with Valentine's Day treats brought to you by a number of different anime series. In case you find yourself in the area, or just want to be in the know, here's a list of some of the events lined up to make this one sweet Valentine's Day for everyone.

This Spring's Gochūmon wa Usagi Desu ka? hosted a chocolate distribution event at Animate locations in Ikebukuro, Akihabara, Shinjuku, Kyōto, and Tennōji starting at 6:00PM. The chocolates came with a special QR Code Card for a downloadable Valentine's Day greeting from one of the characters. Only one promotional item was given to each customer. Distribution of the character cards was random while supplies last.

Cosplay versions of the girls from D-Frag! were walking throughout Akihabara passing out chocolates starting at 6:00PM as well. For anyone that missed out on the chocolate distribution, 2D stand ups of some of the characters were posted in several fan stores from February 14 to 30. Each stand up had a scannable bar code for a downloadable voice bit from the corresponding character.

• Takao - Toranoana Akihabara A and Animate Hachioji
• Karasuyama Chitose - Gamers! Akihabara and Toranoana Shinjuku
• Mizukami Sakura - Animate Akihabara and Toranoana Hachioji
• Ōsawa Minami - Akiba Sofmap and Animate Kichioji
• Funabori - Toranoana Akihabara C and Animate Shibuya

Sofmap of Akihabara was also hosting cosplay versions of the Infinite Stratos girls starting at 6:00PM. The cosplayers passed out special Valentine's Day cards with chocolates attached to them. Each person would only be allowed one present, and the event ended once all the items have been passed out.

Meanwhile, GJ Club was teaming up with Patisserie Swallowtail to make several sets of delicious sweets which are available for sale from the 14th to the 16th.

• Second Tier Fantasy Star Pound Cake Set - 680 yen

Finally, Alice Soft was passing out chocolates witch characters from their upcoming game Rance IX at Sofmap locations in Akihabara and Osaka and Toranoana in Akihabara. The Osaka distribution began at noon and the Akihabara ones will start around dusk.
