posted on by Karen Ressler
This year's 30th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will include on Monday an announcement for Namco Bandai Games' new Saint Seiya game for PlayStation 3, Saint Seiya: Brave Soldier. The game, which is planned for this fall, will be an action game that includes "anime-like 3D battles."
The ad confirms that the following characters will appear in the game: Pegasus Seiya, Phoenix Ikki, Andromeda Shun, Cygnus Hyōga, and Dragon Shiryū. Gemini Saga, Sea King Poseidon, and Meiō Hades will also appear for the first time in a game adaptation.
The Saint Seiya Omega anime is currently airing in Japan, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series into several countries as it airs. The show, which is a sequel to Masami Kurumada's 1986-1990 mythological fantasy manga and Toei's subsequent 1986-1989 television anime, is the first Saint Seiya television anime in 23 years.
Namco Bandai Games previously opened a teaser site counting down to a new PlayStation 3 title. The title will be announced on the site in two days.
