Phantasy Star Online 2 Episode 2's Intro Video Streamed

The official YouTube channel for Phantasy Star Online began streaming a an introduction video for Phantasy Star Online 2 Episode 2 on Thursday.

The trailer introduces Duuman as new race, Braver as a new class, and Katana and Bullet Bow as new weapon catagories. The game will include a new planet called Wopal. System expansions include a "support partner" feature and the "mini room."

The trailer also previews the new story and characters, which features the voices of Mai Nakahara as Azanami, Masaya Onosaka as Kaburakan, Megumi Ogata as Shao, Takahiro Sakurai as Ruusa, and Ayana Taketatsu as Io.

Sega launched Phantasy Star Online 2 for Windows last summer and a PlayStation Vita port was released on February 28. Sega will also release the game for iOS/Android smartphone devices, but the release has been delayed until this year to raise product quality. The game is free-to-play across all platforms and was confirmed for Western release this year.

Since its release, Sega has reported that the PS Vita version of Phantasy Star Online 2 has more than 500,000 users.

Sega will release Episode 2 as a downloadable update for both PC and PS Vita on July 17.
