K-ON's Aki Toyosaki Reads Along to Moe History Book

Chukei, a Kadokawa Group Publishing company, will release its new book that teaches Japanese history with vocal guidance from voice actress Aki Toyosaki (K-ON!'s Yui, A Certain Scientific Railgun's Uiharu) on June 12. The reference book, titled Goro Awase Rōdoku CD Tsuki Nihon-shi Jūyō Theme Anki 110, will come with a CD of the voice actress reading the passages of the book. Many subjects of Japanese history will be covered, including the founding of Nichiren Buddhism in Kamakura and imperial waka poems. Toyosaki makes the terms easier to remember with helpful rhymes.
The book is written by Shūei Yobikō teacher Gaichi Itō, and will cost 1,115 yen (about US$11).
Chukei also published books that teach chemistry with Lucky Star characters, a Physics guide featuring the My Ordinary Life anime cast, and a world history book that teaches with the help of Puella Magi Madoka Magica's lead voice actress Aoi Yūki. Earlier this year, Chukei published the latest of its Haruhi Suzumiya English guides.
