BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Also Heading to PlayStation 3
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Arc System Works' new BlazBlue fighting arcade game, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, will also be released on the PlayStation 3 console.
The game will feature a new "overdrive" system that allows the player's character to have increased strength for a limited amount of time. During "overdrive," a player can use an "awakening technique" — a super special move — that can settle the fight in one move.
The game will also feature three new characters. Amane=Ninki (pictured far right) will be voiced by Akira Ishida, Azrael (pictured at right) will be voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto, and Barrette (pictured below left) will be voiced by Toa Yukinari. Each new character will have new background music and special effects sounds. The PlayStation 3 version of the game does not yet have a release date.
Arc System Works had announced the new arcade game at its "BlueFes 2012 -Riot Summer Again-" event on Sunday. The arcade version of the game is slated for a winter 2012 release.
Arc System Works had hosted a location test of the arcade version of the game at the Akihabara Hey arcade on Monday.
