Idolm@ster Wafers Lets You 'Talk' With Idols on the Phone
posted on by Egan Loo
Bandai will begin selling The IDOLM@STER Wafers 2 card collection in Japan at the end of July. Unlike the first card-and-wafer sets inspired by Namco Bandai Games' show-business simulation games, this new collection offers buyers a chance to "talk" with idols over the phone.
Along with a sweet wafer, each clear card in the new collection comes with a serial number for the Voice World service. A fan can register the number on Voice World site, and the fan can then talk with a (randomly selected) idol. Thanks to speech recognition, the idol can even "listen" to the fan and adjust her responses accordingly.
The new collection has 30 different cards: 12 character cards, three job cards, three off-shot cards, five two-character illustration cards, five session cards, and two cards with the entire cast. In addition, a variant of character cards will have metallic-printed autographs.
