Director of Studio Ghibli's 1992 film stands by as Caproni, Savoia, Dabohaze models fly
The Studio Ghibli co-founder Hayao Miyazaki and other members of the anime studio's staff watched as model makers flew miniature airplanes inspired by the anime film Porco Rosso at a recent event. The plane creators launched a miniature Caproni Ca.60 flying boat and models of Miyazaki's Savoia S.21 and Dabohaze seaplanes. Miyazaki (wearing black clothes and a dark gray cap in the videos) wrote, directed, and created storyboards for the adventure film, which premiered in Japan in 1992.
