Sankarea Zombie Moe Comedy TV Anime's Cast Revealed

The February issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine confirmed the voice cast for the upcoming Sankarea "zombie moe adolescent romantic comedy" television anime series on Saturday.

Ryōhei Kimura (Haganai's Kodaka) as Chihiro Furuya
Maaya Uchida (Yuruyuri's Mari) as Rea Sanka
Yuka Iguchi (Toaru Majutsu no Index's title character) as Mero Furuya (Chihiro's little sister)
Sayuri Yahagi (Karin's title character) as Ranko Saōji (Chihiro's cousin)

Mitsuru Hattori's original manga revolves around Chihiro, a high school freshman who is obsessed with zombies. Even his dream is to "kiss a zombie girl." Through an unexpected set of circumstances, Chihiro gets to know an elegant, pretty girl named Rea, and together, they try to revive Chihiro's pet cat Baabu who died in an accident. Chihiro discovers that Rea wants to get away from her many responsibilities by becoming a zombie herself.

The Japanese broadcaster TBS revealed the anime's staff at Comic Market 81 last week:

The anime will premiere this April. The same February issue of Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine also launched Ken Ōshiba's Mujūryoku Communciation (Weightless Communication) romance manga about a girl shunned due to her supernatural power, and a childhood friend who swore to protect her.
