posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
A new nail salon that features officially licensed nail art services based on anime and game franchises opened in Akihabara in Tokyo on Thursday. The Ayumino salon currently features nail art for the Hakuōki video game and anime franchise.
Currently, customers can get nail art inspired by outfit colors and items for the characters Sōji Okita (pictured at right) and Hajime Saitō. In the future, the salon will also feature nail art for characters Toshizō Hijikata, Sanosuke Harada, and Heisuke Tōdō.
The nail art costs 10,000 yen (about US$128), and the first 300 customers who make a reservation with Ayumino will receive a Hakuōki-themed nail file/can opener.
The nail salon is also playing background music featured in Hakuōki and has decorated the salon with Hakuōki panels.
