The Hatsune Miku Good Smile BMW car won the JAF Grand Prix Super GT & Formula Nippon Fuji Sprint Cup race in the GT300 class on Sunday. With a time of 38'43.758, Nobuteru Taniguchi won with the car in the first race of the finals on Saturday. Taku Bamba drove the Hatsune Miku Good Smile BMW to the deciding win in the second race of the finals with a time of 38'49.720 on Sunday.
The combined time of Taniguchi and Bamba's separate races determined the final standings. The normal Super GT series season involves two drivers competing with the same machine in a relay race.
After winning round 3 at the Super GT International Series Malaysia at the Sepang Circuit in June, and again at round 6 at the Fuji Speedway in September, the team also won the 2011 GT300 championship on October 16.
The Pacific NAC Ika Musume Ferrari was #5 while the EVANGELION RT TEST Type-01 Apple Shiden car finished the competition at #10 on Sunday. Eighteen racing teams competed in the JAF Grand Prix Super GT & Formula Nippon Fuji Sprint Cup's GT300 class.
