New Evangelion Films to Get PC Browser Game in 2012
posted on by Egan Loo
The newly formed production company Marvelous AQL announced on Wednesday that a web browser game inspired by the new Evangelion films has been green-lit for production. The tentatively titled Browser Evangelion Shin Gekijōban game for personal computers was not revealed or leaked before its surprise announcement at Marvelous AQL's press conference for new titles. However, Marvelous AQL did not provide further details about the game beyond its planned 2012 service launch.
The company Marvelous AQL just came into existence last Saturday, October 1. The media production company Marvelous Entertainment had announced in May that it would be merging with the game publisher AQ Interactive and the mobile app developer Liveware.
Evangelion Shin Gekijōban is Hideaki Anno and Khara's four-part remake of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion television anime series. FUNimation Entertainment released the first two films on DVD and Blu-ray in North America after screening them in some theaters.
