Le septième volume du manga Ghost in the Shell: The Human Algorithm de Jun'ichi Fujisaku et Yuki Yoshimoto, publié le 20 novembre, a annoncé que son prochain tome, qui paraîtra cet été, sera le dernier. Le septième marque également le début de l'arc final.

Le manga a vu le jour dans le Young Magazine (Kodansha) en septembre 2019. Il reste à ce jour inédit en français mais disponible en anglais chez Kodansha USA Publishing. Ses événements se déroulent après ceux de Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human-Error Processor de Masamune Shirow.

Fujisaku a signé les scripts des anime Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex et Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG., et supervise le projet Ghost in the Shell Arise.
