FURTHER ADVENTURES IN OUTER SPACE
THE COMET EMPIRE (Volumes 14 to 26)
It's 2201 and Gamilon's despot, Desslok, has allied with Prince Zordar and his daughter, Princess Invidia, of the dread Comet Empire, in a plan to invade Earth and conquer the galaxy. On Telazart, Mark Venture falls in love with Trelaina, a mysterious woman who has the ability to harness energy in mind and control matter. In a massive exchange of power, Trelaina literally fades into the universe. Venture returns for her and is lost. On board the Argo, Nova offers her life for that of Derek Wildstar. And in space, Desslok experiences a change of heart that changes the conflict.
THE BOLAR WARS (Volumes 27 to 39)
Now it's 2203 and Earth is drawn into an intergalactic free-for-all with both the Galman Empire and the Bolar Federation. Captain Wildstar forms an alliance with former enemy Desslok, who guides them to the planet Phantom where Flash Contrail becomes enamored of Princess Luna, later revealed to be the manifestation of a deity called Mother Shalbart. Meanwhile, Bolar Premier Bemlayze creates black holes that suck all matter into them; Wildstar lies critically wounded; Jason Jetter, in classic "youngest-best" mythological style, saves Earth. Then Flash Contrail becomes the epic's ultimate hero in a traditionally Japanese "divine wind" act of bravery reminiscent of another war.
