The Airbats are back and to celebrate they're taking a vacation at a first class hot springs resort. However, they soon find out the resort is haunted by the ghost of a kamikaze Zero pilot! If they survive, they'll return to Iruma to host the Thunderbirds, world famous aeronautical acrobatics team of the USAF. It's a great honor for Isurugi and crew but rival teams of prooud pilors are an international incident waiting to happen. With the arrival of the Thunderbirds, the competitive atmosphere in the ranks of the Airbats kicks into overdrive. Mitaka takes a back seat to no one including the arrogant American pilots, but when a friendly dogfight turns into an all out war, an unlikely hero saves the day.
