Unlike the other Kamen Riders who are based on grasshoppers, Amazon is reptile-based. The word "Kamen" does not apply to him as he is not a cyborg. He has a belt that is not the source of his powers unlike the other Kamen Riders; the bracelet on his left arm is his power source.
Kamen Rider Amazon is the most violent of all the Kamen Rider series. Amazon bleeds a lot during the fights, and instead of blowing up, the juujin spray gushes of odd-colored blood when Amazon does his Daisetsu-dan (Great Chop) on them.
Kamen Rider Amazon's premier date is the same day at 7th birthday of Yoji Matsuda who plays Masahiko Okamura.
