Plot Summary: When an alien race invades the planet Earth, it unleashes an unrelenting assault that is so unbeatable that no military force is capable of counterattacking it. During this global siege, a military officer named Major William Cage ends up being killed within minutes. That is when an unexpected time loop reverts Cage back to the start of the alien battle and is given a chance to avoid the same fate as before and progress further in the battlefield. This phenomenon keeps occurring every time Cage is killed, and gives him an upper advantage in knowing when to evade and attack the aliens. Every repeated encounter will get him one step closer to defeating the alien invaders.
