After being arrested for trespassing in the now guarded nuclear plant, Joe receives help from his son Ford, as they both try to uncover the truth of what actually happened at the plant all those years ago. Upon doing so, they soon discovered that long dormant giant monsters have been awakened and start to create havoc on the planet. What's more is that a completely different giant monster had also awakened and ends up causing as much havoc as the first wave of monsters.
