Trivia:

When capturing the cicada ("semi", in Japanese) in ep 11, Haruko calls herself a “semitori obasan,” a “cicada-catching old woman”. This is a pun on “Sumotori”, a sumo wrestler.

AIR TV was made after a hentai game of the same name. However, there is also an all ages version released for PC, Dreamcast (DC), and PS2.

The story takes place at Mihama Township (美浜町 Mihama-chō), Wakayama Prefecture. The abandoned part of Kishū Railway Line (紀州鉄道線 Kishū Tetsudō-sen) beyond Nishi-Gobō Station (西御坊駅 Nishi-Gobō-eki) appears in the series as well.

ADV Films paid $145,000 to license the series in 2007.

The three schoolgirls Yukito speaks with in episode 2 are characters from Kanon, which was also produced by Key/Visual Arts. They are, from left to right (as Yukito looks at them): Tsukimiya Ayu, Minase Nayuki, and Sawatari Makoto.

The book Minagi Tohno is reading in episode 5 is Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

In episode 5, the series that Yukito Kunisaki was watching in TV before Misuzu turn it off, was a reference to mecha anime "G Gundam" shows a character yelling and calling "Captain" and asking why he betrayed him and then do a "God Finger" move, this is a key move of that series, which the main character "Domon Kassu" constantly using it during his fights, the "Captain" wears a similar clothes colors to Master Asia, Domon's Master and teacher there and he betrayed Domon too!
