The Portrait Studio
寫眞館 (Japanese)
Plot Summary: The movie revolves around a Japanese photography studio situated in some large city (presumably Tokyo). The ever enthusiastic photographer specializes in portraits, and we see him dealing with three generations of a single family throughout the 20th century, especially one girl that doesn't smile much. We are shown how the environment, the city scape, clothing and the characters evolve, with historical tidbits thrown in at times.
