Trivia:
The Layzner Mk II which never made it to the series can be seen in the OP credits. Although the 3rd OAV helped complete the plot, many of the designs never made it to this canceled series.
Bandai Entertainment had plans to release the series in the US in Summer 2001 but never did. The official story is that they got damaged, blue-tinted video masters from Sunrise and were unable to acquire replacements. In 2005 Bandai's license to SPT Layzner expired.
