Live-Action Gintama 2 Show's 1st Episode Gets 4 Million Views in 1st Week

The Mainichi Shimbun newspaper's Mantan Web site reported on Friday that the first episode of the live-action Gintama 2: Yo ni mo Kimyō na Gintama-chan net series has garnered more than 4 million playbacks in the six days since its debut on August 18. Meanwhile, the first episode of the Gintama -Mitsuba-hen- net series has reached 6 million views since its debut in July 2017.
Like Gintama -Mitsuba-hen-, Gintama 2: Yo ni mo Kimyō na Gintama-chan has a total of three episodes on Docomo's dTV streaming service. The three episodes are titled "I Can't Sleep," "Hijikata Smoking Ban," and "No Matter How Old You Are You Hate Going to the Dentist."
The two series accompany live-action films from their respective years. The first film opened in Japan last July, while Gintama 2 opened in Japan on August 17.
