Anime Expo - AN Entertainment
by Mikhail Koulikov,
Company Representative: Gene Field - President, John Oppliger - Production Development
As reported previously, AN has licensed the 26-episode Guu TV series and the Guu Deluxe OVA. The series will officially be called Haré+Guu. They also expect to bring Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu Final to North America, but they do not yet have the license.
AN Entertainment has also launched RentAnime.com, an online anime DVD rental service. Using a business model similar to that developed and implemented by Netflix and other similar companies, RentAnime.com will allow subscribers to have up to three DVD's out at a time for a $19.99 monthly fee. Other payment plans may be implemented in the future. Currently, new RentAnime.com subscribers are being offered a free two-week trial period.
