It's very unfortunate to hear this. I hope her family and friends can get through this. Thank you for having an impact on our child/adulthood. RIP.

Just when I thought 2015 couldn't be worse with deaths of talented seiyuu... This is indeed depressing. Sad

Rest in peace, Ms. Shirakawa-san. You were awesome as Nakajima-kun.

Kaneta Kimotsuki or Kazuya Tatekabe?

I hadn't realized there was another original cast member left other than Midori Kato and Takako Sasuga! Sad to realize this too late.

Geez, we're just about done with this year and we're still losing people from the anime industry.

And Midori Kato is still 'only' 76 too. She'll certainly celebrate 50 years of voice acting as Sazae-san.

Does anyone know how frequently Nakajima-kun appears on the show? I'm wondering how much time they have to recast him, which would depend on whether there are more episodes with him in the pipeline.

(Now I'm wondering if Shirobako covered this scenario. I should really watch the rest of that show someday, past the first episode.)
