Exclusive on Hulu? This is new. Maybe CR will also get this? But right now, I'm having some doubts.

I don't care for this show but I'd hate for shows being exclusively on hulu to start being a trend. That means I along with many many people won't be able to watch anime nearly as much.

This is not the Crunchyroll or Funimation I was hoping for.

Being a week behind will be hell.

I am not planning to watch this anime either, but I don't like the idea of Hulu exclusivity, especially for Sentai titles. I prefer Crunchyroll for all anime not licensed by Funimation. And yes, more anime exclusively on Hulu could make me watch less of it.

Hulu exclusive is rather disappointing, as being in Canada I can't watch the simulcast at all. I don't know if it's a show I'd watch really, but I can't even check it out to see without resorting to piracy, which kinda sucks.

*sign* Are you serious? This is a really bad move from Sentai, I can only see this end up backfiring.

Another reason that I am a copyright minimalist to abolitionist is that I don't think you wouldn't have to deal rights issues like these if we took away copyright.

Aren't CR and Sentai different groups? Sentai doesn't have its own streaming site so it would need Hulu to stream their anime. Sentai probably does this because CR or Funimation still hasn't picked up Rakudai.

CR decides on its own which anime to stream and some anime anime had more than one group streaming them. So it's possible CR might pick Rakudai later.

While technically separate companies, Sentai is closely related to The Anime Network, and there shows stream there, although they stopped having exclusive simulcasts several seasons ago. Since then, a Sentai license for a series at the beginning of the season it airs has meant a CR simulcast. As I recall, this is the first exception to that since fall 2012.

What region are you except the US that even has Hulu? AFAIK, the only other country they launched in was Japan, and despite that still having the Hulu name it was sold to Nippon TV.

Damn. Damn. Damn.

I really hate this exclusivity crap. Especially if it's on Hulu.

Crunchyroll better get this or I'll have to watch it elsewhere. Crunchyroll is the only site that I have a membership with.
