It's not like a popular shonen jump title wont' be animated so it wasn't no big surpise.

Awesome. More sports anime is never a bad thing. And an American Football (read: not soccer) anime could do mighty well once liscenced for the US market, even among non-anime fans. Let's just hope 4Kids keeps far away from it...

How many geeky anime fan here watch football anyways?
If you ask them if they know who Jerry Rice is, they'll probably think it's some kind of special rice in japan.

That's so cool! This was one of those stories that had me hooked from the first chapter (well, actually, it was more like the first 5 pages) so I must say I'm quite looking forward to it. Beacuse it's American football, hopefully it won't take too long to license like a most sports anime seem to. I can't wait to see Hiruma's craziness animated Very Happy

Now they just need to announce Death Note anime and I can die happy Cool

Indeed. Bleach and Eyeshield getting animated is great. Once they announce Death Note I can die with a smile on my face as well.

um.........i know this news is old but can u tell me if this animated series is only out in japan or also in america. because i really want to know. its the best manga novel that i red so far.
