And Toshinden, does that make a complete purge of Apollo Smile?

They're not releasing Tokyo Babylon anymore? That's actually a shocker for me, I'm surprised. I'd imagine it would be one of their best sellers, especially with the manga finally coming out.

Actually, I've been thinking about picking this up. It's supposed to be a semi-prequel to X (TV) or the movie, right? Isn't it like, the story of Hokuto, Subaru, and Seishirou? Ah, wait... After checking the Encylopedia, I am correct in my assumption. And it also appears that there are 2 OAVs listed. I remember seeing this title for sale at Deep Discount DVD, but is that just the first OAV listed or are both of them on there? I'm glad Lodoss isn't on this list... . |

The OVAs are two...basically filler episodes that use the TB cast, and have little to no bearing on the main storyline. In fact, the only time the main story's even hinted at to my memory is a brief scene in the second episode that's never touched upon later on. |

The OVA is two episodes long, *or 3, I forget* and it's basically like a couple chapters of the manga. I enjoy it because it's intresting to see Sheshirou, Subaru, and Hokuto animated in that time, and I really enjoyed the last episode. The dvd I have has all episodes on it. Hmm. Well, after checking DDD, they have it for an incredible price of only $12. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have it since it's being discontinued.
Thank you both Mr. Nagisa and Ms. littlegreenwolf . |

Garzey's Wing!! Noooo!! The greatest dub earth has ever seen! If you haven't seen this dub, it's worth renting for laughs.. even just for the first 10 minutes or so. There is some amazing line.. I can't remember it exactly. Something like "Why are there dinosaurs here and why do they have swords?"

Is this permanent or are they coming back like they did before (at an even lower MSRP)?

That's what I'm wondering. I know they announced they were discontinuing Arislan which they wanted $75 for anyway, so I picked it up for $50, & then they re-released it for $50. They might be dropping them to $10--don't they have a $10 line? Or is that MediaBlasters?

Encore's Action Network often airs the 2 part OVA. But the dubbing is awful. the lead character sounds like a Micheal Jackson on extascy. Toshinden wasn't all that, but it beats the hell outta Tekken. I'm fortunate to own my favorite Cpm releases; Spirit Warrior,Detonator Orgun,Genocyber etc. Central park Media's contributions to the OVA boom, will not be forgotten. At least not by me. |
