Its always such a delight to see mangaka make sketches. I am always awestruck by how swiftly they draw and without a single stroke going out of the drawing. Just shows how much they have practiced and drawn other the years *salutes*

Too bad we really didn't get to see how he drew L. You think they would have done that over, but oh well. They're busy people after all.

Very much enjoyed this. Seeing a professional skip the "skeleton" process and draw the completed design, so to speak, straight from the start if fascinating.

I tried to give the manga version of AYNIK a try but I just couldn't get into it. Rita's character was so ludicrous, and cookie-cutter by Obata's standards. Which is a crying shame since I've loved a lot of his works in the past.

Obata is just the illustrator of "All You Need Is Kill". He isn't the writer.
