Amano drew the early concepts/designs of the characters, asano made the character designs for the anime

I met Asano at SakuraCon 2014 and the sketch I received from him of Kogami is one of my more favorite sketches, despite it's simplicity. Kogami is one of my favorite characters of all time.
I really wish exhibits like these were allowed to travel overseas. I would flock to the Asian Art Museum in SF just to see something like this, as I did when the Tezuka exhibit came through years ago. Sometimes I wish companies would contact fans to see if any of them would be willing to lend art for an exhibit. I was kinda bummed when Japan Expo USA had a HUNTERxHUNTER exhibit and I thought that, had I know about it earlier, I would have been happy to have lent my sketch of Gon and Killua from the character designer for them to display.

I don't think Asian Art Museum would cater to pop arts that are only few years old. Cartoon Art Museum would be better choice, but I was put off by their lack of research and whole "Samurai Art" slogan.
