But there is the new 3DS coming out soon. This is an odd move. Also they still have the pictures oriented so that they will be upside down when the system is open.

Not only is the "new" system coming out, you don't even get a digital copy of the game, as cheap a move as that was, its literally just the system.

As much as I'd love the NES edition, I'm not about to spend 200 dollars on it unless it was the NEW 3DS.

Are you new to how Nintendo does things lately? They haven't done those game included bundles since the Mario Kart 7 one back in 2011, I believe. Once the 3DS XL released they quit that all together. One big money ploy, yes, but nothing new as of late. Same thing with the Pokemon X/Y & Yoshi exclusives.

Just in time for it to be obsoleted!

Great job, Nintendo.

I'll most likely buy the NES one but keep it unopened... just so I can have it.

As much as I'd love to support this, I love Atlus and Persona, I cannot dump $200 for a 3DSXL when I'll more than likely be getting a N3DSXL early next year.

Not sure about the NES bringing over but PERSONA shit I can't believe they actually brought it over. Nintendo-Persona fans aren't huge but it is a great sign. I would definitely buy that if I already didn't have a 3ds. Smash was a given. The sales are going to be huge

Actually I am pretty sure Pokemon X/Y had digital versions bundled.

I bought one, it didn't. You're thinking of the 2DS bundles not the 3DS XL ones.

The Zelda 3DS XL came bundled with a Link Between Worlds.

For what it's worth, the press release from Atlus about the Persona Q variant suggested it wasn't bundling with the game because they already had a special edition with goodies that people have pre-ordered. I'm not sure how feasible it would be for them to create four editions of the game that bundle the goodies and the 3DS, just one or the other, or nothing extra.
