That's great to know, I hope this special will be on Dramafever and Hulu. Also one little thing:

Taiwanese actors Evan Yo, Lele Cheng, and Jacob — who all starred as A.N.Jell members in the Taiwanese version of the Ikemen desu ne drama —will also make a cameo in the special.

The Taiwanese drama, Fabulous Boys/Yuan Lai Shi Mei Nan and the J-drama, Ikemen Desu ne are both based on the K-drama, You're Beautiful.

I hope it'll get picked up by Dramafever and Viki Smile I really enjoyed watching this adorably funny drama and I was hoping they'd make a sequel.

Sad to say, I watched both the Japanese and Korean live-action versions along with the anime, but never knew that the manga was left unfinished:/

Ah thanks, that's how the source had worded it, as the Taiwanese version of a Japanese drama. I appreciate the correction, and the article has been fixed.

I never knew the author passed away! I wonder if someone will be allowed to continue the story to have an ending to it.

Regardless I am looking forward to this!

I read that there was going to be something after the drama but I thought it was another season? Do you think there will be another season after this special, or will this be it?

Quote:
Fate intervenes when a mild earthquake ruins Kotoko's family house.

This may have happened in the manga version and the anime version, but in this live-action version, the house gets destroyed by a meteorite of all things.

Yes but in the Korean and the Taiwanese live-action version, the house was destroyed by the earthquake, so the Korean and the Taiwanese version got that part of the manga adaptation correct.
